Easter!!

Happy Easter! He is risen!!

Easter celebrations for Leighton actually began last weekend. We were in Louisiana for unfortunate circumstances, but stayed later than planned for her to have an Easter egg hunt with her cousins (who were also having some water fun on Mackenzie's new water slide):

Nothing like an Easter egg hunt in swim suits:)

This weekend, we had 2 days of fun. Saturday we celebrated at Aunt Corma and Uncle Raymond's - 4 babies under 3! Sooo much fun!

Loving Angel's grin! Wish you could see her Michelle Tanner pigtails

All the kiddos!
Seamus and Leighton bonding. He kept telling me, "I really like your baby" LOVE that boy!
She was soooo sleepy!
And Easter Sunday was just the 3 of us. We had a rough morning and didn't get to make it to church (but we did watch 2 services on TV, lol). We had a late brunch at the club where the Easter bunny paid a visit:

She totally charmed the Bunny, cooed and giggled when he waved at her:)

Back at home, Leighton received her Easter baskets from Mommy and Daddy and Maw Maw and Paw Paw. She also took a picture with all 5 (yes, 5!) of her Easter baskets, which included gifts from Meme and Paw Paw, Aunt April, Aunt Corma and Uncle Raymond and cousins Aaron and Celina, and Jude and Fawn.

I can't even imagine what Christmas will look like!

Leighton's First Play Date

Andee and Aubree came over tonight for a little playdate. The girls were so cute together, even though Leighton slept through most of it:)

Aubree and Noah:

When Bill asked Aubree if she was going to be an athelete she said, "golf!" A girl after her Daddy's (and Bill's!) heart!

2 Month Check Up

For the family, here are the stats on Leighton's 2 month check up:

  • 22 1/2 inches
  • 12 lbs 10 oz
  • Changed to an even more sensitive formula (and a powdered one, which makes Mommy VERY excited!)
  • Change in soap and lotion because she has excema:(
  • Increase tummy time - work up to 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening.

Other than that, Baby Girl is VERY healthy!!

Things she can do:

smile, giggle, follow an object with her eyes, get 'excited' (kicking, smiling, cooing) when one of us gets home, pick her chin up when she's on her tummy, occasionally roll over from back to side, look for the person talking when she hears their voice.

What she likes:
Massage! foot rub, shoulder rub, leg rub - will stretch out her feet to get you to start over!

LOVES to eat! Can't get enough of her bottle!

Being talked to! Read her stories, ask her questions, etc.

Her play mat - can't get enough!

Mommy and Daddy's bed - put the mattress on vibrate and lay her on it! She'll stretch and relax and smile!

We love, love, love this little girl and her pedi! Didn't even bat an eye when I told her I wanted to wait and give her her shots on a day she felt better and I wanted to skip the Hep B. Even agreed!

Here is what she wore, courtesy of Mackenzie:)

A little blurry due to her kicking and cooing at the lights in the doctor's office!

Well, here's hoping the new formula and body wash and lotion work. Mommy wants some rest this weekend!
