Calling Baton Rouge!

After Thanksgiving Bill and I headed to Baton Rouge to see Courtney and Dusty = and literally, that is what happened. He saw Dusty and I saw Courtney. 2 nights there and we only had one meal all together! Friday the boys golfed while we shopped and got pedicures (and fed the ducks). Saturday they tailgated all day and then went to the LSU game. They also shopped - at the LSU store! Court and I did some traditional shopping at the Mall of Louisiana and Perkins Rowe. Mistie met us for coffee and Amber came for dinner.

The whole weekend was so much fun! Can't wait to go back in January for Courtney's baby shower:)

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving was at Maw Maw Jeanette's this year. For the first time ever all of the LaCombe cousins were together. Well, Dusty and Blake left a little early and Jordan got there late, but for the most part:) It was really nice and I so hope we can make this a yearly event!

Shower for Baby Angel!

This weekend Aunt Corma, Fawn, Celina's Mom and I gave Celina a brunch baby shower to help her to prepare for Angel's arrival. She received lots of clothes, cloth diapers, etc. and the food was amazing!

Aaron and Celina also closed on their new house this week. What a blessing! It is a very nice home and just blocks away from Jude and Fawn's new home. I have visions of Angel and Seamus house hopping like Jude and I used to do:) What great memories those are...

Here are a few shots from the shower:

This weekend I also got our tree put up! It is not decorated, though! Not yet, at least. I baked a couple cakes for our church's Feed the 5th ministry on Tuesday. The smell of apple and cinnamon put me in the Christmas spirit for a bit. However, after cleaning house, church, laundry and baking 2 cakes, I only had the momentum to put the up and not to break out the decorations. Maybe tomorrow...lol

Happy Birthday Paw Paw RJ!!

So I'm finally having a moment to update on the birthday party!! We had Paw Paw's 75th party on Saturday night after the baby shower. For the first time in my memory, his party was not at his house!! We had it at Mom's and everyone chipped in with dishes while Josh did the grilling. It was a lot of fun to have everyone get together, it had been a long time since we'd done that.

AHS Playoff Game

Last night Bill and I headed to Northshore to watch Atascocita in their very first playoff game. It was a very exciting game with Atascocita winning in overtime. We met up with literally about half of our church friends. We stayed until about halfway through the 4th quarter, but (thanks to Pastor Nathan's Twitter updates) we kept up with the play-by-play action on the internet. This is a very exciting high school football season for the area! Two more big games on Saturday to see if all of the teams we follow will make to the second round. Congrats Eagles!!

Blurry camera phone picture, but it'll work:=)

Running out for the second half.

Football, BBQ and Poker

We actually had a pretty busy weekend! I know you all find that hard to believe! Well, Friday night was friends night. Bill had a poker night with some of our friends from our old Bible study class. He didn't win, but had a lot of fun. Apparently, we are hosting the next one! While he was playing poker, I went to Chuy's with Stacie, Katie, Lexi (Stacie's niece), and Matt and Jacque Johnson. After dinner Stacie, Katie, Lexi and I went to meet Danny Bode at the Huffman football game. It had been so long since I'd been to a high school football game! It was so much fun and a total blowout for Huffman, which was great to see. However, it was pretty cold. When I got home I realized I hadn't taken any pictures (too cold to take my hands out of my pockets!), so Noah took one with me when I got home:)

Saturday after golf (for Bill) and Christmas shopping (me) we had some friends over for a BBQ. It was so great to have so many of our friends together at one time. Everyone had so much fun and at plenty. The party was completely divided between guys and girls, so we all got to catch up with each other. Though, that totally changed when the guys came inside. It was hard to talk over those rowdy boys! But we can't wait to do it again and hopefully extend the guest list.

Aubree Michelle Kesner made her first visit to the Hamrick house! Can't wait to have her back!

Lots of things are coming up in the next couple months, so we should have much to share! We are going to try to go support Atascocita at their playoff game on Thursday (I think Bill is a little jealous I got to go to a football game, lol), we have my cousin Britney's baby shower, Paw Paw RJ's 75th birthday party, Celina and Aaron's babyshower, Thanksgiving, LSU/Arkansas, and the list goes on....I'll try to take lots of pictures to share with everyone. Hope you all have a great week, too!
