Bill is 28!

Bill's birthday was Friday. On his actual birthday we went to Outback and to see Couple's Retreat. We ran into the Wilkens' and Frasiers' at the movie, which was fun. We hadn't seen them in a while and miss getting to catch up. On Saturday we got dressed up and went to Amedeos for dinner. I even braved a glass of wine with my cold and survived:) For the most part, he seemed to have a good time. Noah and I gave him a sterling cross on a chain and several new pairs of jeans. He really likes his gifts, but Bill is pretty easy to please. On a sadder note, he lost his Paw Paw Buck on his birthday. It was very unexpected and the family is all struggling with the loss. Its been barely a year since we lost Grandma Betty, so it makes this one that much more difficult. Please say a prayer for Vicki and the family. Hope you all are well and had a great Halloween:=)

My Husband is a Bigger Dork than I am

We all know I can be a huge goofball. Bill has surpassed me by far! I asked if he'd buy me a Bucee's t-shirt when he stopped at the one on 45 on his way to Dallas last week. He didn't. But to make up for being cranky while he was gone, he bought us each a t-shirt on the way back...and matching pj pants...and insisted I take pictures and post them our blog. As in, he's asked at least 5 times since yesterday if I put the pictures up yet. As much as he complains about my facebooking, blogging and twittering, he sure gets offended if I don't share his good deeds with the world! LOL. So here it is, a couple of dorks in their dorky pjs.

...And Drown Me in Love

Every so often I look through the pictures on my computer. It just makes me happy to remember some of the things I've done. And today is just one of those days when I'm feeling a little melancholy and want some cheering up. Well, my picture stash is limited (my computer is still at Aaron and Cel's waiting for me to come get it), but I found some great reminders of great times with my friends. Yesterday my devotional was all about how God created us to need each other. It was about being an encouragement for those around you. Relationships are tough. They require us to sacrifice, forgive and be selfless. These are not easy tasks. And being someone's friend often means putting what's best for them above your own desires. These are just a few of those people who do that for me, and I hope I do that for them, too. I know there are countless people not listed, but I am missing 80% of my photos:) I'm very blessed to be surrounded by such loving and fun people. I am thankful, too.
