Aquarium

First, for some reason blogger is not letting me post comments, even to my own page! But yes, rice cooker works magically at cooking white rice. I have not yet tried to steam veggies or cook brown rice, though.

Sooo...Friday my mom and I took Leighton and Mackenzie to the Aquarium! Of course there were some things she wasn't interested in, but sometimes she'd just stare in amazement or smile a little - so cute!

Mackenzie was much more enthusiastic, though she did not pet the sting rays (despite talking about it several times before we got there, lol).

Anyway, here some of the pictures!



I'm a Dork

Today I sent the hubs to Walmart for a rice cooker b/c I keep messing it up (I've only recently started cooking again, and it's amazing what you loose when you're out of practice - it is NOT like riding a bike!)

Anyhoo, he comes home with this:

Its an Aroma rice cooker and STEAMER!! I totally didn't think about a rice cooker also being a food steamer, too!

Now, to be perfectly honest, I don't know if its any good (haven't used it yet), but I am WAY STOKED about having a steamer to expedite the baby food making I get to start in a few weeks - woo hoo for the hubs!!!

Famous Seamus is 3!

Saturday was Seamus's 3rd birthday party and the first birthday party for Leighton to attend as a guest!

The kids were so cute and had such a good time! I wish we had a video of Leighton and Liam playing together! They were so excited to see each other!

A good time was had by all and I am so thankful that we are blessed with cousins in town for baby girl to play with (and me, too):)



Time to Catch Up...

We have had an eventful week!

Friday, Bill and I took advantage of a sitter and had a date night - so much fun! He said we'd better take a picture of us all dressed up b/c it probably wouldn't happen again for a while, haha!

The next day, it dawned on me that Friday was the five year anniversary of the day we got engaged - we celebrated and didn't know! Oh, how your mind refocuses with a baby!

Saturday we were laaaazy!

Sunday we decided to start walking. I need to move my workouts to the outdoors, so sick of the house!

We also went to church. Leighton was so cute in her navy smocked sail boat dress. Unfortunately, she spit up all over it at church, so I didn't get a picture of her in it:(

Monday we tried to avoid crowds. We did dress Leighton in her Fourth of July dress and go to lunch. She seemed to like it!

But not as much as her dolly! It's her current favorite toy:)
