I'm a Dork

Today I sent the hubs to Walmart for a rice cooker b/c I keep messing it up (I've only recently started cooking again, and it's amazing what you loose when you're out of practice - it is NOT like riding a bike!)

Anyhoo, he comes home with this:

Its an Aroma rice cooker and STEAMER!! I totally didn't think about a rice cooker also being a food steamer, too!

Now, to be perfectly honest, I don't know if its any good (haven't used it yet), but I am WAY STOKED about having a steamer to expedite the baby food making I get to start in a few weeks - woo hoo for the hubs!!!

Blue Embarrassment

Well, we all know how graceful and pulled-together I am all the time (yup, that's sarcasm you hear!). So I went to tan yesterday (which also makes me a slight hypocrite due to my outspoken anti-tanning stance, but whatever!) and there on the bed on top of the cute little towel and "This bed had been disinfected" sign is a blueberry Jolly Rancher. My first thought "Choking hazard, much?", but I popped it in my mouth anyway.

When my 15 minutes were up, I left and told the attendant bye and headed to daycare to get the fur son. The daycare worker was so kind as to point out....
my Smurf Blue Tongue! Oy! And as a side note? Totally burned in the bed on my torso, so was kind of painful to sleep last night. Here's hoping today is better! Haha
