Trendy Tot Tuesday

We are back on the Trendy Tot Tuesday bandwagon!!

My pics are few (as I snapped them this morning on our way out and we were already on the late side!), but they are here!

We mixed 2 trends today: Nautical (red, white and navy color scheme) and Floral (her floral shirt).
Please ignore her terrified face. She was NOT feeling MDO this morning:( If we weren't having some major to-dos going on today that I need her out of the house for, I'd have totally brought her home:(

Mixing trends is sometimes tricky, but this is pretty basic. This also gave us a chance to reuse her red skinny jeans from the winter, though I think colored shorts or a skirt would work well, too!

Both pieces are from Baby Gap. Happy styling!

Easter Sunday

As I mentioned before, we had a lot of extended family in town for the wedding. This meant a lot of extended family to celebrate Easter with us!

Vicki always does over the top, and this year was no different. A scavenger hunt and an egg hunt. The kids had a blast!

The yard was set up as nice as a park. The kids had a kickball field, trampoline, sand box, play kitchen and climber/slide to choose from (and I'm sure I left something out!).

Leighton spend the first half of the party sleeping, much to Lexi's chagrin. She was ready to put some comfortable clothes on! We did finally get her up and fed and ready for some pictures. Well, sort of ready;-)

Then there was play time! Someone was a big fan of the sand box and pinwheel flowers!

And scavenger and egg hunt. She didn't totally get the excitement in this, but she played along for a bit.

And she definitely enjoyed the spoils after:)

Hope everyone had a happy resurrection weekend!

Christa and Wesley's Wedding

Christa and Wes got married last weekend, FINALLY!!
Our family was all over that wedding, as Leighton was a flower girl, I read and Bill had the honor of walking the bride down the aisle.

While I'm sure I will be posting about this again when the professional pictures are done, I did manage a few snap shots of my own, plus some I stole from family members;-)

Our first event was the rehearsal dinner. Leighton had been sick and wasn't quite 100% yet, so she pretty much refused to participate. And she cried a lot. But, eventually, she warmed up and went exploring around the church. We also got one shot of her with the bridal party;)

Saturday was the wedding and the munchkin was only slightly more cooperative. A little less tears, a tad more friendly. She did refuse to walk down the aisle and cried as a carried her down, though. She did NOT cry when I went up to read, so that was a big plus. She also stayed happy during the ceremony, though we kind of cheated...

The ceremony was beautiful and included Wes singing a duet with the pastor's wife. So beautiful.

The reception was a great party, and even Leighton enjoyed herself. She was a dancing machine! We did bring the DVD player inside and when she would get tired she would walk back to her high chair to take a time out and watch her movie.

Well, we are so blessed to have Wes and his boys as an official part of the family. We had a a great weekend and enjoyed it all, especially the family that came in from out of town. So sweet of them to travel to celebrate with us!

Congrats again Christa and Wes!
