Christmas

Christmas was CRAZY!

We did an early Christmas with my immediate family before Dad and Josh left for work:

The girls are so cute together!

We did Christmas Eve just the 4 of us. We went to church (well, half of church. Leighton didn't last very long!) and I cooked. We opened our super-cheesy matching pajamas and saw what Santa left in the morning:

Though there aren't pictures, Bill and I gave gifts this year. We don't normally do much in the gift department to each other for Christmas, just not what the holiday is about for us. But I must thank him for my beautiful earrings! He bought me an awesome ring for anniversary a few years ago and got me the matching earrings this year. Thanks, Honey!

Christmas night we went to my mom's and had dinner and gifts with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins and 2 of my grandmothers. It was a lot of people!

The next night we went to my other aunt's to watch the Saints game and spend time with my grandfather and grandmother. I was photographed out by then, but it was fun!

This weekend we did Christmas with Bill's side. Leighton got sooo many presents! We didn't even bring half of them home!

New Year's was spent in BR with our BFF's (enough acronym's for ya?).

So not many words and lots of pictures! Hoping to catch up on other recent events missed soon. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Brunch with Santa

The club has brunch every Sunday. On Easter you can have brunch with the Easter Bunny, as we did here. At Christmas time you can have brunch and take a picture with Santa. We had such great Easter pictures. I was very excited. Especially now that Bill and I generally sleep more and have a better system for getting dressed and watching Leighton.

Well, Leighton had other plans....

Leighton, meet Santa...
 Um, what's going on?
What? I stay with him?!? This is not happening...
I do NOT heart Santa! I do not heart Santa at all!
Nice try, mom. Let's get out of here.
There's always next year.... On the plus side she loved the brunch part! Pancakes and breakfast potatoes - yum!
