Father's Day Fun!

Last week we had a long over due visit to Leighton's Meme and Paw Paw's!

After some trial and error, we have figured out how to road trip with baby girl (that, and now Mom, ie me, doesn't have a job we have to rush back to, lol). Anyway, she did great on the way there and back and had the BEST time! She found her Meme hysterical and played and talked to her Paw Paw!

Saturday we came back to recoup and spent Father's Day at home. Bill and Leighton hung out and watched the Open ALL DAY! I made dinner and then they had some Daddy/daughter play time before bed:)

I never posted for Mother's Day, but it was very similar to Father's Day, only I wanted to go out to dinner. But Leighton and I played with the camera, too. I've never shared these pictures (or even really told anyone about them), but I think this one needs to be shared:)

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Can't wait for some time with my daddy next week! Happy birthday and Father's Day, Dad! We love you!

Mother's Day

So Mother's Day is a time to honor and spoil your mother right?

Well, someone forgot to tell my mom.

Saturday night we drove in and convinced Pam to let the kiddos sleep over. So even though Dad and Josh were both at work, Mom was covered in grandbabies all night. Noah even snuck in for a while;-)

Sunday morning, before I was even awake, she cooked a huge breakfast. When I did wake up, I went to sit in the recliner to visit w/ Pam and the kids before they left. Before I can even think about coffee, she shows up with a cup for me and the cream, Splenda and spoon I need to fix it.

I reminded her it was Mother's Day, not daughter's day.

So, turns out she's had this major migraine all morning and its getting worse. She goes to take a nap and I go jogging. She does let Bill grill the steaks for lunch, and Pam and the kids came back, along with Maw Maw and Rayann.

Kids played and had a blast. We ate and I did the dishes.

Well, I did half of the dishes and then got fussed at. "It's Mother's Day," she said. "I want you outside with me visiting, not doing dishes."

So there you have it. A small example of why she's the most unselfish person on the planet. And this is very minor stuff. She spends all of her time taking care of others, not just her kids.

What would we do without her?

Mom and her kids at my bday.

Well, here are some shots from today. Mom didn't make it in any of these, she wasn't feeling well so she didn't want pictures. I wasn't feeling well, either, but I don't care - good picture, bad picture I still want them all. Memories;-)

Had to convince Bill Pam wouldn't let us have Grayson. He tried real hard, though.

My fur baby. He was so happy to be outside.

It was a great day! Happy Mother's Day to all!
