Weekend at the Beau

This weekend we headed to Beau Rivage in Biloxi for Courtney's first grown-up trip post Jake.

So. Much. Fun.

There were five couples total and everyone had a blast!

We started by meeting Court and Dusty at their house and headed to her Mom and Dad's to drop off Jake for a weekend of spoiling.

As you can see, he doesn't really lack spoiling. Check out the shoes - Bill was so proud Jake was wearing the shoes he got him;-)

Then we were off! Bill, not understanding the word "vacation", worked during the drive.

Fear not, he relaxed once we got there!

We arrived with just enough time to catch a little sun before dinner.

After some serious pool lounging, we all got dressed to head out to dinner at the Ruth's Chris in the Hard Rock next door.

It was literally next door. But did that stop my husband for insisting we needed a limo?

After dinner, we went back to Beau and hung out at The Coast for a while. I literally haven't been to a club in years.

Saturday everyone slept in and kind of did their own thing. Bill and Dusty golfed (of course) and Court and I skipped the outlet mall (gasp!) and lounged at the pool a little bit longer.

After golf, Bill and I did a little shopping in the resort. Bill was tired and did not feel like shopping at ALL, so I suggested we take a look at a ring I've been eyeing in the jewelry store. Anniversary present bought:

I know it's a super-small picture, but I couldn't find one!

And he isn't even making me wait until September to wear it;-)

Saturday night was dinner with the group.

This time we took cars like normal people.

After failing miserably to find a good sushi/hibachi place that had room for a last-minute group of 10, we headed to the Crazy Fish Grill, which was pretty good and had a great atmosphere. Even a little one-man guitar show I quite enjoyed. Saturday turned out to be an early night for everyone.

Sunday we all had brunch and headed home.

Short and sweet, but so much fun!

Weekend

This weekend was both happy and sad.

Happy because I got to spend it with Mistie. We shopped, ate out, talked, and went to the movies. We also celebrated her wedding anniversary.

My gosh, Russ, how you are so very missed.

We went to their favorite restaurant to celebrate - Flemmings - with two of her friends who also knew Russ. It was a very nice dinner and we all shared some great memories.

The wait staff there must have done some preplanning on our arrival, because there is no way cheerleader Barbie could have been our waitress on this bittersweet occasion by accident! That girl was sooo enthusiastic about the specials! Haha! But she was sweet and took very good care of us and we appreciated her.

Sunday, on my way home, I stopped and met Court and Jake for coffee. Little Man is growing! Here are some updates:

Weekend Recap (Better Late Than Never)

This weekend we headed back to Lousiana to visit.

Friday night we had dinner at DI's with Nicole and Randall. Bill got his first live Cajun music experience;-)

Saturday we headed to Baton Rouge to meet Jake!

And Court loved her 'Team Jacob' t-shirt;-)

Dusty grilled steaks for us and the guys had a mini shopping spree at the Nike Outlet.

I say mini because it lasted less than an hour, but they did a lot of damage, lol.

We had a great time! It's so rare that we get to hang out with Nicole and Randall and meeting Jake was just so special!

Umm, so in case I haven't told ya, my furson is the cutest ever!

He had his first session a few weeks ago, and the shots came in yesterday. He is adorable, he is mine and they were worth every. freaking. penny.

How do you not want to cuddle with this cuddle bug??

hahaha, how freaking hilarious is this???

Honestly, this is just a small sample. My only complaint was that he didn't brush him after the wardrobe change (clothes make him matted). Other than that, I'm loving them - second greatest thing to happen this week!

Speaking of the greatest...my bff and her hubby welcomed their baby boy yesterday! The suspense was killing me! But Jacob is here safe and sound and we will be roadtripping soon to meet my Court's new little man;=)
